Friday, September 6th
The 16th Annual Smokin' on the Point will be held at the Arrowhead Yacht Point on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th, 2019.  Any Lake resident is welcome to form a team and sign up. You must have a Lake resident on each team.  You will be judged on 5 categories including a mystery category.  This year there will be beef brisket, pork butt, pork ribs, chicken thighs, and the mystery item will be smoked Mac and Cheese! The Arrowhead Yacht Club provides all the meat.  Smokers can pick up their raw entries on Thursday or Friday at the Arrowhead Yacht Club and start cooking on Friday!  Everyone is welcome to come up Friday evening and watch the teams prepare their categories.  Many have samples to taste!  Usually their is a layer of smoke hanging over the Point all evening. 
Judging of the different categories begins Saturday at 9 am. After turning in your entry for judging, the remaining meats will be collected an used for the community lunch at noon on Saturday. Everyone in welcome to come to the Yacht Club and enjoy their favorite team's entries at this lunch.  Winners will be announced at this noon meal.  
If you would like to compete, fill out this registration form and make a check out to the Arrowhead Yacht Club for $175.  This covers the cost of the meat, supplies, and the winners awards!  Get both the check and the form to Amy McCarthy and Steve Phillips from July 8 till the end of the day on August 27.
